10 Ways to Enjoy the Off Season

With the majority of resorts in the Northern Hemisphere closed down for the season, the countdown has officially started until the bullwheel spins & the 2014/2015 winter season begins! In between then & now, there’s plenty of opportunities to get out and work on evening out that goggle tan. As such, we asked Tom Wallisch to put together a list of ways to enjoy the off season.

Check out his top ten below!

1) Recover // Unfortunately this season I’ve had to spend a lot of time in the spring and summer recover from ACL reconstruction surgery. Try not to fit this activity into your schedule! Ha!

***

2) Enjoy the Sun // As soon as spring rolls around it gets even easier to get outside everyday and do something fun. After a long winter it’s just nice to be out in the sun messing around with your friends. Maybe go for a swing.

***

3) Backyard Games // One of my favorite things to do in the summer is play backyard games. Cornhole, bocce ball, horseshoes, frisbee, and so many more. Get out and enjoy the backyard!

***

4) Go to the Beach // Summer is an awesome opportunity to explore beach destinations. A beach is a very awesome place to be after an entire winter in the mountains and snow.

***

5) Skateboarding //  Even though I suck at skateboarding. A still love trying to get better every summer.

***

6) Boating // Getting out on the water in the summer is one of my favorite things to do. From enjoying some beers with friends to surfing, or wakeboarding and everything in between. Being out on a boat is just great.

***

7) Exploring // It’s awesome to get out and explore the world around you. So many natural wonders to be seen!

***

8) Watch Sports // I love getting out to pretty much any and all sporting events. Baseball, football, soccer and whatever else; just a generally good time!

***

9) Amusment Parks // Why not? Go ride some rides. Get hillbilly with it. Those coaster are fun.

***

10) Mountain Biking // Going fast, catching air and shredding through trees like you were skiing. Who doesn’t want to mountain bike?
